How do you help people who have lost almost everything in war? On November 1, 2026, I met with Bänz Margot from Human Front Aid at the Lago Lodge on Lake Biel. We talk about how his aid efforts began, how direct support works in everyday life, and why for him it is not just about money, but also about respect, connection, and humanity. The conversation is in Swiss German and was recorded in the café's atmosphere. It also contains descriptions of distressing war experiences. Statements and assessments are those of the interviewees.
